		<description>There are a number of respiratory problems suffered by cats. Cat &#039;flu is probably the most common - it does sound like this is what your cats may have, as it is characterized by runny nose and eyes, and sneezing.

Cat flu is curable if treated promptly, but once a cat has had it it will remain a carrier for the rest of its life - i.e able to transmit the virus to other cats even when it is not showing symptoms. 

Cat flu is an airborne disease and therefore highly contagious - cats can catch it just by being in the same room as another who sneezes. I think it&#039;s pretty likely both your cats have got this virus since they&#039;re both exhibiting signs.

Talk to the vet, but the only thing to do now, other than get treatment, is keep the cats away from others so they don&#039;t infect them.
